The insider’s guide to Titanic Deluxe Belek

This week’s blog is an insider’s guide to the Titanic Deluxe in Belek, Turkey. This is a new, all-inclusive, five-star resort which joined the other fantastic hotels and golf courses here in Belek. This blog will give you all the information you need to know about the Titanic Deluxe as well as its surroundings and the great golf you can play when staying here.

1

The Titanic Deluxe opened in the Spring of 2013 and has been a hit for golfers and non-golfers alike since. This is one of the larger hotels in Belek with 600 rooms, 9 outdoor pools, 2 indoor pools, an aqua park as well as a spa and fitness centre. With so many places around the hotel grounds to relax and soak up the sun after a round on the golf course it is no surprising how popular this resort is. If soaking up the sun isn’t your cup of tea, then you can enjoy relaxing in the spa centre where you can enjoy the Turkish bath or an array of treatments. Asides from golf, the many swimming pools and the spa area, the hotel offers you the opportunity to play on one of the 9 tennis courts or on the professional grass football pitches. Unlike many of the other hotels in Belek, the Titanic Deluxe is not located directly on the beach but as it is by the river the hotel offers you the chance to have a private boat tour down the river and to the beach rather than walk!

All of the rooms are fully-furnished and are very modern. They are all fitted with a LED TV, central air conditioning and a minibar with a variety of different drinks. Each of the rooms has their own private balcony where you can enjoy views of the river or the gardens. As with many other fantastic five-star hotels you will never be short of somewhere to get a drink or some food! The hotel boasts five different restaurants including a buffet restaurant and four a la cartes which serve Turkish, Italian and seafood speciality dishes. There are also 14 different bars for you to enjoy, each with a different setting and some with different speciality drinks!

3

The hotel is close to two golf courses: Titanic Golf Club and National Golf Club which are the two courses most commonly played by guests to the Titanic Deluxe. Titanic Golf Club (formerly known as Tat Golf Club) features 27 interesting holes for players to enjoy here. The 27 holes are made up of three loops of 9 holes named Mediterranean, River and Forest. As the course is situated between the Besgoz River and the Mediterranean Sea it is no surprise that water comes into play on over half of the holes! This course is a little less challenging than most of the other courses in the area but is a great, fun round full of holes that vary in scenery and difficulty. There are many stand-out holes across the 27 holes but there is a signatory for each set of 9 holes. The par-3, 4th hole on the River loop is played from an elevated tee facing towards the mountains and where you have to aim your ball to the right of the hole to avoid the huge lake. The par-4, 12th hole on the Mediterranean loop is a hole that you play alongside the sea which means that if you’re not careful you could end up landing a ball onto the beach! The 22nd hole on the Forest loop is a par-5 and the hole is on a green surrounded on three sides by water. This is a great course and is a perfect ‘holiday’ course.

The National Golf Club is a truly magnificent golf course which has been built to incorporate well into its surroundings which is rolling terrain which ventures through pine and eucalyptus trees. To add to the course’s surroundings is the backdrop of the snow-capped Taurus mountains which seem ironic as the course is bathed in hot sunshine for the majority of the year! It is imperative that you choose the correct tee box when taking on this course as if you choose correctly you will have a fantastic time and if not, you may not be celebrating during your post-round drink. This course is very well-kept and has very tight fairways which make it a challenge for all 6,300 yards of it! It is one of the tightest driving courses in the area with plenty of great holes which will certainly keep you on your toes. The bunkers are deep and should be avoided at all costs if you are wanting to score anywhere near your handicap as it is a challenge in itself to get your ball out of one of them! The 2nd and 5th holes are great par-3s and the 18th hole is a superb end to the round where you have to navigate around the water hazards which partially surround the green. This is another spectacular course that you can enjoy when you stay at the Titanic Deluxe.

5

With Antalya airport just under 20 miles from the resort this is a great resort, with two fabulous golf courses and plenty to do, eat and drink all in a great location. Furthermore, the Kaleici district (also known as Old Antalya) is 25 miles away and here you can venture out to enjoy the history of Antalya and enjoy fine dining as well as a walk around the harbour.

6

This resort is perfect for your next golf holiday to Belek and somewhere where you can enjoy having lots to do and see including some beautiful golf courses, the hotel’s private 1km beach as well as nearby Antalya. You need look no further than Titanic Deluxe for your next luxury golf break.

The golf courses played by guests at these two fantastic hotels are the Gloria courses. The Gloria Old course is one of the oldest in Turkey and is a renowned favourite for golfers who come to play here year after year. It is located in a beautiful forest location at the feet of the Taurus Mountains and is a classic design that all golfers will enjoy. This course is certainly not a dry course, with a total of seven lakes in play and bunkers its set to be a challenge. The feature has to be the par four 16th hole which is a short par four but is definitely not easy. With a large lake to the left, out of bounds to the right and several bunkers at the green this is a pure test of golf.

GloriaOld

The Gloria New course opened in late 2005 and with undulating greens this course is certainly a challenge of golf. This course winds through pine trees and although there are not as many water hazards as in its sister course there are plenty of bunkers which are waiting to catch any errant shots! With a wide variety of holes which are all different in both layout and ability this is sure to be an interesting and enjoyable round. The 17th hole is a spectacular one, with a little island green and a great trade in lake balls around the green! This is truly a spectacular course and is not to be missed out on when enjoying your next golf holiday to Turkey!

GloriaNew

The Sirene Belek Hotel is yet another fabulous, all-inclusive, five-star hotel in Belek. Guests at this hotel always report about the fantastic service that they receive here along with the activities and facilities available to guests. Guests can enjoy the multiple outdoor pool areas, the tennis courts or the spa which features and indoor pool as well as a wide array of treatments. The rooms are decorated with a modern and contemporary style and all the rooms feature private balconies where guests can enjoy the views around the grounds. With 4 à la carte restaurants, 2 buffet restaurants and 6 bars you will never be hungry or thirsty here! You can experience many different cuisines here including South American, Mediterranean and of course, traditional Turkish dishes. Down by the beach there are also watersports available and there is a kids’ club which is perfect for when you want to enjoy a round of golf without the little ones! With four golf courses within such a short distance and so many activities and things to enjoy at the resort this is a clear choice for your next golf holiday to Belek!

SireneBelek

Sirene Belek is in between two fantastic courses – Pasha and Sultan. The Pasha course is a relatively flat course with tree-lined fairways and many bunkers to catch errant shots. This is a challenging course and although is shorter than its sister course it is no less tricky with its strategically placed bunkers and water hazards. The trickiest hole is the 11th which is a short hole with water running beside the fairway for the entirety of the hole and then four bunkers guard the green! This is a fun and exciting round of golf and is certainly not a round to be passed up on.

Pasha

The Sultan course is one of the best courses in Europe and it is not hard to see why this course gained that reputation. The course is certainly a long one at over 7,000 yards from the back tees but there are various tee options so this course can essentially be enjoyed by players of all abilities. Much like its sister course, there are water hazards on most holes – 12 out of 18 holes to be exact – and many strategically placed bunkers to work your way around! The final hole is a special one with an island fairway and then the green being surrounded by five bunkers – not an easy hole at all! This is another spectacular round not to be missed out on.

Sultan

We hope that this blog opened your eyes to the beautiful hotels and golf courses that Belek has to offer and that you book your flights now!

Golf escapes to Belek, one of golfing’s finest destinations…

With perceived levels of security in different places of the world playing a large role in our day to day lives now it is clear that it is affecting the places we choose to holiday to. Belek, Turkey is one of the best golfing resorts around both for service, value and its courses and hotels. This blog is about how we know that things in Belek are as good as they ever have been despite everything that is going on!

Belek

One of the grandest resorts in Belek is the five-star Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort, which like most of the resorts here is situated directly on a beautiful sandy beach. Maxx-Royal-Belek-Golf-Resort

The Montgomerie Maxx Royal course is a spectacular course and is one of the most sought after courses to play in Belek. With beautiful fairways playing through pine forests and navigating eight lakes over the duration of the course and especially on the front nine holes it is no surprise that this course is a tricky one and ideal for those golfers looking for a stern challenge! On the back nine, there is a lot less water involved but that doesn’t mean that the course gets any easier as the greens are undulating which makes placing the ball where you want to play it most challenging! This course has a multitude of great holes but the 18th is spectacular where you need the upmost skill and concentration to navigate your ball from the tee through a narrow stretch of pine trees before avoiding strategically placed bunkers and a last water hazard that will more often than not trip you up at the final hurdle!

Montgomerie-Maxx-Royal

Voyage Belek Golf & Spa is a five-star, all inclusive resort placed directly on its own stretch of beautiful Mediterranean beach which guests can enjoy. With eight different restaurants serving a range of different cuisines from Italian to Mexican to Japanese to of course, traditional Turkish food there is definitely something for everyone here. All of the rooms are fully-furnished with a lovely balcony on which guests can enjoy their own private views of either the Mediterranean or the stunning gardens surrounding the hotel. As well as many restaurants there are also nine different bars to choose from when deciding where to enjoy your post-round drink! The resort also boasts a stunning spa centre where guests can enjoy a range of massage treatments and a Vitamin Bar. The resort hosts five different swimming pools as well as an adventure park – the excitement never ends here! This is the perfect destination for your next golfing holiday to Belek and with the Titanic Golf Club so close by as well as a regular shuttle to the Maxx Royal Montgomerie course what could be better than a stunning hotel with some great golfing options?

Voyage-Belek-Golf-&-Spa

At Titanic Golf Club there are 27 spectacular holes which are unlike most other courses in Belek. The course is set against the backdrop of the stunning Taurus Mountains and between the river and the seafront which means that there are some truly special views from this great course. With three different loops of nine holes it is possible to mix and match the loops meaning that you can play the course you most want to and will most enjoy – making sure there is something for everyone here! The second loop of nine holes runs along the Mediterranean coastline whilst the others are more of a parkland style! This is a fabulous golf course and is definitely worth a play on your next golf break to Belek due to its diverse course layout and great value!

Titanic

A Golf Escapes group of 24 golfers recently came back from staying in the Sueno hotel in Belek and had a fantastic time without any stresses or worries!

“Our group of 24 has just returned from Belek; this was our fourth stay and won’t be our last.

Despite some security concerns from some of the group (and others who decided not to go) the standard is as good as ever, if not better than previous visits. The Sueno hotel was great, staff friendly and the golf courses in excellent condition.  Best of all, because of the “situation”, the courses were the quietest they’ve been and the service and reception we received from the locals was superb.

Security is an obvious concern in the current world we live but I have no hesitations in recommending Belek. The current value is beyond compare, and the service is better than ever.”

Sueno-Deluxe

We hope that this blog has opened your eyes to some of the treasures of Belek and that you will consider a golf break to Turkey in the near future for a golfing holiday full of top quality service, great value and even better hotels and golfing experiences!
