Al Maaden Golf Course,

The Al Maaden Golf Course has been designed by the American architect Kyle Philips, probably most famous for designing the Kings Barn Course at St Andrews. The par 72 course measures 6644m from the very back tees, which should probably be avoided for all those other than the most serious of golfers. Thankfully there are plenty of forward tee positions for the rest of us! Undulating fairways, strategically placed bunkers and plenty of water will make sure you stay focused but it's probaby the 18th that will stick in your mind, a long par 4 at 444m! The drive requires precision and accuracy over one of the large lakes, the tighter you go the shorter your second shot but only the bravest will take the tiger line. A geat course to play on your next golf holiday to Morocco.
Caddies are compulsory in Morocco and on some courses that applies even if you hire a buggy - fees are paid locally with the minimum amount being 100 Dirhams (£8.00) however if your caddy has done a good job you're expected to pay 150 - 200 Dirhams - please allow for this extra cost when you're planning your golf holiday to Morocco
