Amelkis Golf Club has 27 holes and is the most recent course in Marrakech, designed by Cabel B Robinson and opened in 1995 the course has already established itself as a must play whilst golfing in Marrakech. The fairways are lined with century old palm trees and giant papyrus reeds with the back nine dominated by a number of tough water hazards. In short the course is a tough test of golf with long par 3's and large red earth bunkers, you'll need to bring your A game with you if your to score well here.
Caddies are compulsory in Morocco and on some courses that applies even if you hire a buggy - fees are paid locally with the minimum amount being 100 Dirhams (£8.00) however if your caddy has done a good job you're expected to pay 150 - 200 Dirhams - please allow for this extra cost when you're planning your golf holiday to Morocco
