Where is Dom Pedro Old Course?
Dom Pedro Old Course is situated in the vibrant resort of Vilamoura. There is plenty for golfers and non-golfers to enjoy in Vilamoura such as 6 superb golf courses, popular beach, famous marina, casino, shops, bars, and restaurants.
When the Dom Pedro Old Course, designed by Frank Pennink, opened in 1969, I doubt anybody could have imagined how big the Algarve golfing boom would be. Dom Pedro Old is one of the original courses in the Algarve and played host to the Portugal Open in 1996. It more than holds its own against any of the newer additions in the area.
This is the jewel in the crown of Dom Pedro courses and indeed is one of the best courses in the Algarve. The course is tree-lined and winds its way through the landscape for a very special and pretty journey around this course. Putting well here is key and if you manage to do so it will be one of the most satisfying rounds you have ever had.
When you finish your round this clubhouse is a wonderful place to be with excellent food on offer and a large putting green in front of the terrace. Why not set up a putting competition on this green for the group and determine who is the best putter on your trip – the loser buys the next round!
