A newish course but Quinta da Ria has already established itself as one of the best courses on The Algarve if not Portugal.
The front nine is extremely pleasant but not too challenging, with a nice mix of holes. However at the turn, things get tricky. The fairways tighten, bunkers and water appear everywhere, and the views of the sea can distract you from the matter at hand. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty with no housing developments in sight, play this course at a reasonable cost while you can. In excellent condition for such a young course.
