Another spectacular course in the Quinta do Lago Estate, San Lorenzo has been ranked in the past as the second best course in Europe.
The first five holes are through a pine tree forest, followed by water holes offering wonderful views over the Atlantic Ocean. At the 8th the course turns back inland and faces the larger of its two lakes. For the next four holes the course again turns seawards and ends with a Par 4 with water to the left and a virtual island green. There is also an excellent practice area just in front of the clubhouse. San Lorenzo can only be booked 24 hours in advance for visitors; for advanced tee times you must stay at the nearby Hotel Le Meridien Dona Filipa or Le Meridien Penina.
