Lisbon is a fascinating cultural experience - when you are in the area, you should take time out to explore the city. However, for golfing purposes, Lisbon serves only as the airport gateway to the numerous golfing gems to be enjoyed! Several courses are concentrated in the Estoril / Sintra / Cascais triangle on the coast to the northwest of Lisbon, and there are a few (superb and excellent value!) courses to the south on the Costa Azul. Not forgetting the two great courses an hour to the north (Praia d'el Rey and Golden Eagle). The coastal resort areas tend to be lively almost year-round, with many locals having weekend and holiday homes there. |
