Durban Country Club, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa

Durban Country Club

Located between the Indian Ocean and Moses Mabhida Stadium, built for the 2010 Football World Cup,  is the Durban Country Club in the heart of Durban. This parkland course  (Par 72 – 6,157 yards off the back tees) offers some incredible undulating fairways set amongst the costal vegetation.

The club house exudes ‘old world’ Cape Dutch charm, whilst the course has arguably the hardest opening nine holes in South Africa. The course has been used for the Volvo PGA Masters, the South African Open and the SA Seniors Open to name but a few. Buggies (equipped with SatNav) are not compulsory but caddies are, with one required per four ball. The Durban Country Club has an affiliated course, The Beachwood, a mere 10 minutes drive away – perfect for an afternoon round having played the DCC in the morning, or just hit the beach.
