Almería is Spain's desert province; indeed numerous spaghetti westerns were filmed in the mountains here. The dry, warm climate and harsh mountainous landscapes create a wonderful setting for golf. The area is split into two for golf purposes with three courses south of the city of Almería, and three courses north. The whole coast is booming in terms of tourism but you get a feel for the real Spain here, and many more golf courses are under construction. Almería Airport is expanding, and Malaga, Murcia and Alicante Airports also act as gateways for the area. |
