This pleasant town is very easily accessed by its own exit off the main coast road. In common with much of the Costa del Sol, recent growth has been phenomenal. The town is a good mix of Spanish, ex-pat residents and tourists with a bustling friendly atmosphere. There are lots of shops and banks in the town and a couple of supermarkets. Getting busier each year we visit! Most evenings tend to start and finish in one of the Irish bars, and a new Sports bar is a welcome addition. There are no nightclubs in La Cala -head to nearby Fuengirola for that - but there is still plenty of choice. |
