Ballyliffin Golf Club - Glashedy Course
Ballyliffin is the most northern golf club in Ireland and offers two magnificent links golf courses, named the Glashedy Links and The Old Links, which are both equally challenging and offer a varied technical challenge.
Located on the Atlantic coastline and situated in the beautiful county of Donegal, Ballyliffin Golf Club is held in high regard with both courses predominantly featured in the UK & Irelands top 100 golf courses. The two courses have been designed and formulated by the golfing greats of Nick Faldo, Pat Ruddy and Tom Craddock with Ballyliffin renowned as offering links golf at its finest in a truly spectacular setting.
Founded in 1947 originally as a 9-hole course, Ballyliffin Golf Club has grown leaps and bounds finishing the full 18 of The Old Links in 1973 and adding the Glashedy Links in 1995. Since then the two courses are ranked amongst the top 20 golf courses in Ireland and make the ultimate links experience on your Ireland short break.
The Glashedy Links, named after the Glashedy Rock which sits out in the Atlantic, is the host of a number of annual amateur and professional events and even hosted the Irish Open in 2018. Formulated by Pat Ruddy in 1995 the course completed one of the finest links complexes in Ireland.
The Glashedy is a challenging 7,200 yards where once you reach the spacious greens after battling the consistent winds and tricky links terrain, the undulation in the greens will require an impeccable putt.
The Glashedy Links is one of the best links courses in Ireland and will without doubt host some of the more prestigious international golf tournaments for years to come.
