Fancourt Hotel is a truly charming five-star hotel nestled between mountains and forests at the heart of the Garden Route. All of the rooms within the hotel boast elegant furnishings and private balconies from which you can see stunning views of the Outeniqua Mountains. Of course, they are all fitted with the amenities and facilities that you would expect from a hotel of this standard including toiletries, a minibar and a satellite TV. It is no surprise that Fancourt is considered to be South Africa’s premier leisure resort due to the three excellent golf courses situated onsite which were all carefully designed by Gary Player: Links, Montagu and Outeniqua.
The hotel offers a range of dining options from casual through to classic and all of the food is made from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. There is also a bar which boasts delicious regional wines as well as a spacious garden terrace on which to enjoy these wines. Besides the three fantastic Gary Player designed golf courses situated onsite of this luxurious hotel, there is also a spa, a fitness centre and an outdoor swimming pool. With wonderful facilities, a stunning location and outstanding golf, it is no surprise that we highly recommend this resort for your next golf escape to South Africa.
Next up we have the five-star Fairmont Zimbali Resort which is situated within the exclusive and tranquil Zimbali Coastal Resort eco-estate. The hotel boasts 154 rooms and suites which are all fitted with contemporary amenities including Wi-Fi and a TV as well as complimentary Le Labo products and dressing gowns within the spacious ensuite bathrooms. You can enjoy casual poolside dining at Ayoba, Indian Fusion cuisine from OSA and international dishes at the Coral Tree Restaurant. Not only does the resort have so much to offer its guests, but its location means that you can explore Durban and Umhlanga as well as Ballito which is just five minutes’ drive from the resort.
