This week’s blog is a guide to some of the best winter sun packages we offer. Vidamar Resorts Madeira

With direct access to the Atlantic Ocean, Vidamar Resort Madeira boasts a privileged location. A variety of shops, bars, and restaurants are within walking distance of this modern resort in Lido, making it a prime base for a winter golf holiday.

Santo da Serra provides 27 holes that lie over mountain slopes and ravines. For more than ten years, the annual PGA Tour’s Madeira Open has been played at Santo da Serra, and the pros’ comments confirm the high standard of this course.

Palheiro golf course is only a 10-minute drive from Funchal, the capital city of Madeira. The course was designed by Cabell Robinson and opened in 1994. At a lower altitude than Santo da Serra but in places just as spectacular, two-thirds of Palheiro lies within pine forest and botanical woodland.

When you’re not playing golf, the hotel offers a variety of facilities, including three pools, a fitness center, squash courts, and a spa. The Elba Carlota offers an all-inclusive accommodation option, the perfect option for all those looking to indulge without having to worry about the bill at the end of their stay. Here, guests are in the ideal position to make the most out of both Fuerteventura’s amazing golf courses and its stunning beaches as the resort is situated just next door to the Fuerteventura Golf Club and the Caleta de Fuste beach.

The Fuerteventura Golf Club is undoubtedly a must-play golf course, and conveniently for guests at the Elba Carlota, this fantastic golf course is just a stone’s throw away. This golf course is known for its wide and open greens, allowing its players to fully appreciate the beautiful views of the neighbouring Atlantic Ocean.

W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island

The W Abu Dhabi is located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, a perfect location for a winter golf break. The hotel offers amazing views over Yas Island and Abu Dhabi and is truly a unique place to stay. There is plenty to do on Yas Island including famous attractions such as Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, Clymb Abu Dhabi, and of course Yas Links Golf Course.

Designed over three years, Yas Links Golf Club covers 7,450 yards and uses almost two million cubic meters of sand to cap the course. The course was constructed by reshaping two miles of coastline and using two million cubic metres of sand. The clubhouse oozes luxury with its modern atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a dip in the infinity pool followed by a relaxing steam session.

Abu Dhabi Golf Club boasts 27 championship holes, stretching across 162 hectares. Known for hosting the PGA European Tour Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, the Abu Dhabi Golf Club is growing in popularity. A tropical haven, this course weaves its way through ornamental trees, palm trees, and 7 picturesque saltwater lakes. Featuring lush fairways, hidden bunkers, and spacious greens, the course is in immaculate condition year-round. Why not play a round of 9 holes in the evening, with holes 19-27 featuring a floodlight facility?

Bed & Breakfast, All-Inclusive, and everything in between are available at this 5-star hotel. You can choose from 7 bars and restaurants, including an Indian and an Italian. There is a state-of-the-art gym, spa, and wellness area at the hotel. There are a number of resident DJs and a great bar in the pool area, so you can sip cocktails and dance the night away!

Fancourt Hotel

Yet another fantastic package offer for a golf holiday with some well-deserved winter sun is the Fancourt Hotel, a luxury five-star golf hotel in the Western Cape in South Africa. With two golf courses on-site, the Montagu and the Outeniqua, guests are never far away from an unforgettable round of golf.

Both the Montagu and the Outeniqua golf courses were designed by the world-famous golf architect Gary Player, so all golfers must anticipate a challenging and fantastic round of golf. The Moon Palace Golf Course with its vast 7000 yards course offers a fantastic round of golf if you’re looking for a challenge. Although the twenty-seven-hole golf course is a lengthy challenge all players can enjoy a leisurely round as all abilities are accommodated. However, pacing yourself is a must!

La Cala Golf Resort

Melia Atlantico Isla Canela

Last, but certainly not least, is the four-star Melia Atlantico in Isla Canela, a very popular and modern hotel that boasts an idyllic beachfront location just 5 kilometres from the town of Ayamonte, perfect for short or long stay winter golf holidays.
