Between 2003 and 2010 the Golf D’Hossegor course went under construction to rejuvenate its holes, and create a few twists on a handful of holes. A notable hole on this course includes the short par-5 15th hole, which has been completely renovated with an elevated putting green, positioned at a slight angle to the fairway. This hole features a dogleg and blind start. The three bunkers positioned to the left of this green must be conquered, and it is evident that this hole was renovated to put emphasis on encouraging the player to play with strategy and not length. Despite players encouraged to play utilising their skill set, the Golf D’Hossegor course offers several approaches so that all golfers can appreciate the course without feeling intimidated.
A major theme of its course and its design includes several doglegs, complex greens, and narrow fairways lined by greenery which can easily swallow up a haphazard shot. However luckily for players, we are pleased to say there are no water hazards on this course.
