The par-4 17th hole is arguably the most memorable due to the challenge is bears and its unique character. It features a sharp left-sided dog leg down a long and downhill terrain. Its greens are heavily protected by bunkers short right and long left of the putting surface. Despite keeping players on their toes throughout this hole, its main feature has to be the stunning views of the western coast of Sardinia offered from the elevated tee.
The most challenging hole at the Is Arenas Golf Club is the 14th, featuring a sharp dog-leg to the right winding up to the putting surface. The challenge does not end there; the putting surface is lined with sand traps that must be avoided if you are looking to score a par. With this testing hole, it is heavily encouraged that players bring their A-game, as well as looking at the course map.
The course’s architects, the famous trio of Von Hagge, Baril and Smelek, aimed to create a fantastic golf course worthy of international recognition whilst still maintaining its natural identity and landscape.
