K Club - Palmer Ryder Cup Course

The K Club is arguably considered to be one of the most opulent golf resorts in Ireland and it isn't hard to see why. The Palmer Ryder course opened for play in 1991 and was designed by the brilliant Arnold Palmer.
This is a stern test of golf but there are four different tee options and we recommend that you select your tee position carefully as this course measures an impressive 7,337 yards and so the blue tees should be left to the professionals or those who fancy a challenge! Back in 2006, the Palmer course hosted the Ryder Cup and the course provided plenty of excitement as the European Team were victorious. As you wind your way through the round, you will encounter plenty of water hazards, strategically placed bunkers, lush fairways, true greens and stunning views of the surrounding areas. This is a brilliant tournament course which is dominated by water and holes with tricky and unique layouts - a course that should not be underestimated. Make sure that this is on your golfing itinerary for your next golf break to Ireland and when you couple this course with the brilliant five-star K Club Hotel, you have the perfect golf holiday planned.
