Lough Erne - Faldo Course
The Faldo Course is an 18-hole Championship course which was designed by the great Nick Faldo. The course sits in a beautiful location amongst the Fermanagh Lakelands which provide a stunning backdrop for your round here.
From the back tees the Faldo Course extends to over 7.000 yards making it a long and difficult course with plenty of hazards to navigate your way around as you play the course. For a majority of the course, you are playing through deserted woodland and wetland areas and there are many interesting elevation changes which makes the course a little tricky. This is a course with a varied and interesting layout with enclosed woodland holes to doglegs which require you to skilfully navigate water and some fantastic waterside holes. This is a brilliant course which although is a little tricky, is suitable for players of all handicaps due to the different tee options which means that from the front tees the course is only 5,800 yards long making it much more playable for those with higher handicaps. Overall, Faldo Course is a superb course with breathtaking views and is a perfect addition to your golf break to North West Ireland especially when staying at the Lough Erne Resort as the two golf courses – Faldo and Castle Hume – are right on-site.

There is no doubt that the service received at the Faldo Course is in keeping with the levels of service that you receive from staff within the Lough Erne resort as it is impeccable from the moment you arrive for your round right up until you have finished your beer and post-round snack and left the course entirely.
Faldo Course is a course that you will leave with the memory of almost every hole due to each of their interesting and unique layouts with some great risk-reward holes as well as the stunning views that you can enjoy but there are some specific special holes that you can really get excited about. The 10th hole is a par-4 and is a fantastic risk-reward hole on which you must decide whether to take on the green which clings to the edge of the lough or play the hole in normal regulation.
The condition on the Faldo Course is immaculate and from the first tee to the last putt you will enjoy every second of your round here and so it is no surprise that the course rates very highly and is rated as the 3rd best course in Northern Ireland. Make sure that you complete your next golf holiday to Ireland with a round here at this magnificent Championship course.
