PGA Catalunya - Tour
The PGA Catalunya Tour golf course is the perfect accompaniment to its sister golf course, the Stadium. The PGA Catalunya Tour offers a slightly easier challenge than the Stadium course, however it is equally enjoyable. Dominated by pine trees and lakes, the course is shorter and a little less of a challenge than its sister course, yet its distinctive Ángel Gallardo and Neil Coles design ensures that it remains a fantastic challenge for every level of player.
There is no question that the Tour Course is a great addition to the resort at PGA Catalunya; as a previous host of the European Tours Qualifying School, it cements the resort as one of the best two course venues in Europe. Both the Tour and the Stadium golf courses at the PGA Catalunya are widely considered to be an essential item of any itinerary for an unforgettable golf break in the Costa Brava.
The golf course features slightly wider fairways than the Stadium golf course, but with plenty of strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, the course will be sure to keep even the lowest of handicappers in check. Whilst the Tour golf course undeniably offers a fantastic challenge to all of its players, the wide fairways are typically forgiving of any wayward shots. However, golfers must be mindful that they are never playing too far from a water hazard. The fairways may be narrow, but with dense forestry and fauna lining them, no shot is ever safe!

The 466 metre-long 5th hole plays to a par of five and is among some of the most challenging across the golf course. For the experienced golfer, this hole can be finished in just two shots providing they can overcome the cross bunkers placed strategically down a hill. However, even when players make it past the bunkers, the challenge is not quite done; the green on the 5th is one of the steepest on the golf course.
Widely considered to be the best hole at the PGA Catalunya Tour is the 475 metre-long final 18th hole which also plays to a par of five. This hole is one that players are sure to remember long after their round finishes and is the perfect ending to a fantastic round of golf. Here, players must overcome an undulating fairway where there are ripples between sand areas leading up to the green. For low handicappers that keep their wits about them, this hole is achievable in two hits, however most players are inevitably caught out by the two large bunkers on the fairway.
