However the challenge does not stop at the end of the front nine; the back nine holes weave across the undulating landscape. Another notable hole on this course includes the two-tiered green featured on the 10th hole. This hole has been constructed to push golfers to their limits with its strategically contoured landscape and sloped terrain. The challenge is only intensified when players reach the 16th hole, where a lengthy putting green is lined with a water hazard. The Salobre New Course certainly bears more of a challenge than its predecessor sister course, the Old Course. However its challenge is often compensated with the shorter holes, where players will find they will be rewarded with good results if they use the right strategy in their approach.
If you find you have lost count of how many balls you have lost to the rocky drop-offs or harsh desert scrub, then you can simply take a break and enjoy the breath-taking scenery. Despite its recent construction in 2008, this links-themed course has already established itself as one of the best courses for an unforgettable challenge in the Canary Island. The Salobre New Course never fails to surprise players looking for a unique experience in a breath-taking landscape.
