The Dunes Course
Designed the former Ryder Cup Captain and US Masters Champion Bernhard Langer, the par-71 Dunes Course is the first 18-hole signature designed golf course in Greece and is regarded as one of the finest in Europe.
The opening holes of this superb course have been designed in a links style, with tall sand dunes, pot bunkers and undulating greens but as you meander further the course adopts a more traditional Greek styling, with olive trees and citrus groves typical of the landscape. A stern challenge for all golfers, the varying tee placements measuring a full 6,018 meters from the championship tees down to just under 5,000 meters from the front and generous fairways ensures an enjoyable round for all. Offering breath-taking sea and river views, this course provides an unforgettable round of golf to players of all abilities.
With spacious undulating greens, large fairways and strategically placed bunkers, The Dunes course certainly provides a challenge with a unique style. Several greens on this course are separated into plateaus with differing elevation levels and slopes so despite it being easy to land on the greens due to their spacious nature, it is imperative that all approach shots hit the green correctly or else the player may be forced to play three putts to correct their error.

This course has a clear character and unique style, where there are several birdie opportunities however the par four 11th and 4th holes provide a lengthy challenge. The par four 1st hole is a tough initial hole, but it is sure to warm the player up for the challenge ahead. The 1st hole is the only hole which features a visible water hazard however this will not be relevant unless the wind is particularly strong whilst playing. Players are encouraged to play off the tee to the right of the bunkers as not to hit them and affect their scorecard so early on. Due to the breath-taking views of this course and its challenging yet captivating nature, it does not come as a surprise that this course is considered to be among ‘’Europe’s Top 50 Golf Courses’’ by Golf Monthly magazine.
Players of all skill sets can be accommodated for at the Navarino Golf Academy, where golfers are invited to receive tuition from dedicated professionals. To round up an outstanding round of golf, players are invited to experience a fine dining experience at one of Navarino Dunes’ impressive 13 restaurants.
