Westerwood Golf Club
The fantastic 18-hole Westerwood golf course was designed by Seve Ballesteros and Dave Thomas and is widely considered to be one of Scotland’s best kept secrets. The impressive course meanders through silver birches, firs and heather but you mustn’t be distracted by its scenery.
The course at Westerwood Golf Club is a stunning but challenging course that will test golfers of all abilities. There is a wide variety of different holes with interesting layouts and many hazards for you to overcome along the route including the water hazards at the 4th hole and the strategically placed bunkers placed at the 6th hole. Although the course is not overly long at just over 6,300 yards, it has all the hazards and a difficult layout which means that even those with very low handicaps will need to keep their concentration. The course is surrounded by beautiful scenery with many of the holes overlooking the Kilsyth and campsite hills.
