The PYR Fuengirola is a perfect base for a golfing group looking for nightlife, a huge array of golf courses and great value for money. This 3 star aparthotel boasts some of the biggest rooms in the Costa del Sol with its studio apartment measuring at 43m2 not to mention a kitchenette area as well. It is partly for this reason why the hotel is so popular for groups of men or women that like to share a room. It’s cost effective and has plenty of room to get as far away as possible from the notorious group snorer!

The hotels breakfast room has had a recent renovation making it a great way to start the morning before a day’s golf at one of the many courses in the area. We would normally recommend the PYR Fuengirola with few rounds at Chaparral Golf, Cabopino and La Cala for a diverse and exciting golf escape.

Everything ran like clockwork, thanks to Golf Escapes.

La Cala Golf Resort, Spain, was just about the perfect venue for our latest golf trip. Just back at my desk after a four day trip. Everything ran like clockwork, thanks to Golf Escapes. The hotel, the spa and most importantly the three golf courses at La Cala were excellent. Each hole seems to have fantastic views and nearly every hole has a wow factor. I'm not sure who decided to design a golf course on such a plot of land but I'm glad they did. This might be the first place we will be returning to.

We had a great time.

Hotel, transfers & courses were very good. Our golf could have been better. My friend will be taking the reins for next year’s trip. We may extend by one day. Lauro was the easiest, Chaparral was fantastic but a bit tough for some of our higher handicappers. Torrequebrada was probably our favourite. Hotel was excellent. Staff & food/drink were good. The shuttle company were excellent.
