Mahony’s Point is one of two championship courses at Killarney Golf & Fishing Club the other is the Killeen course. Located on the shores of Lough Leane staring up at the McGillcuddy Reeks which are the highest mountains in Ireland, this is a special place for a round of golf.
Mahony’s point measures 6,740 yards from the back tees and is par 72, fear not though there are tees for all abilities and ages. The course makes it way out towards the mountains and then turns back towards the lough culminating in 3 of the best finishing holes in Ireland. The par 3 18th plays along the waters edge to a narrow fairway green surrounded by trees. This is a magical finish to a majestic course, the experience encapsulates all things great about golf in South West Ireland.
Killarney town is about 10 minutes drive from Killarney Golf & Fishing Club. Our hotel recommendations include Killarney Court Hotel and the Riverside Hotel which are both a short distance from the centre of Killarney where you can find plenty bars and restaurants for you evenings out.
