Despite the holes meandering across a relatively flat terrain, there is the occasional mounded terrain, therefore it is encouraged that players study the course map beforehand.

An impressive 7 holes at the Modena Golf & Country Club feature water hazards, therefore it is always encouraged that players proceed with caution. As well as water hazards playing a big part in creating an entertaining challenge, with greenery and forestry lining many of the fairways, wayward shots are not often forgiven or easily retrievable. However, with relatively wide fairways, players are typically given plenty of room for error.

A few signature holes at the Modena Golf & Country Club includes the par-3 6th and 11th holes, which both demand the concentration of players as they are forced to utilise the length and accuracy in their shots.
