Old Thorns - Championship Course

Old Thorns is located in Liphook just 10 minutes from its local train station or 1 hour from Gatwick Airport. It is rurally situated in the Hampshire countryside, so car hire or pre-booked taxi service is recommended for transportation to the resort.

Officially opened in 1982 by Jack Nicklaus, Seve Ballesteros, Isao Aoki, and Bill Rogers, the course has a long history of staging competitive events for TV.

This pretty parkland course is set in 400 acres of beautiful Hampshire countryside. It has tree-lined fairways and small greens all of which are protected by water hazards and bunkers along the way. The course has some undulating greens and a strategically placed pond, only rewarding the most accurate of shots.
