Palm Golf Ourika
The Palm Golf Ourika, designed Neil Haworth and Stephane Talbot, is located at the foot of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains, and offers stunning views throughout. Despite opening recently in 2015, the Palm Golf Ourika has already established itself as a luxurious golfing experience that is not to be missed when exploring Morocco’s best courses.
The recently opened par 71 course was designed to accommodate all standards of golfers, so no one was to miss out on playing this fabulous course. The desert style course spreads across 180 acres of Moroccan countryside with undulating fairways surrounded by deep bunkers (46 in total) and 6 lakes. The landscape boasts fauna that you would expect from a course paradise, including palm, olive and cypress trees. Despite six lakes coming into play on this course, it still boasts a distinctive desert-like feel to it. The Palm Golf Ourika is a luxurious golf course, playable all year round with panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains.

Measuring an impressive 6,692 metres from the back tees, the landscape of the Palm Golf Ourika is characterised by the generously wide greens, which in turn accommodates for those bearing a higher handicap. However, whilst the greens here are generally accepting of wayward shots, there is still a daunting threat of sandy waste areas lining the greens. With a choice of five tee-off options on offer, no golfer should be deterred from experiencing this fabulous course. Furthermore, the Palm Golf Ourika is famously the first cart-only golf club in Morocco.
Signature holes on the Palm Golf Ourika course include the 8th and 17th holes, and that is due to their unique beauty with its distinct structure. Lined by palm trees and divided by a sandy waste area, these holes are sure to linger in your mind for years to come. With golfing tourism on the rise in Morocco and particularly the Marrakech region, Neil Haworth and Stephanie Talbot knew they had to create a distinct and beautiful course that sets itself aside from all others around; it would be very fair to say that they have succeeded with their vision. With excellent service, facilities and only the finest Riviera Bermuda grass used for the tees and fairways, the Palm Ourika is a must-play on your next golf escape to Morocco.
Caddies are compulsory in Morocco and on some courses that applies even if you hire a buggy. Please allow for this extra cost when you're planning your golf holiday to Morocco.
