Stellenbosch Golf Club

Located in the heart of the wine lands just outside Stellenbosch on the Somerset West road, the club was founded over a century ago but it was only in 1953 that it grew from a 9-hole course into today’s 18 hole course (Par 72 – 6,393 yards off the back tees).
It has a championship layout that has hosted many prestigious tournaments in the past including the South African Open and South African Masters. The 1999 SA Open at Stellenbosch Golf Club proved to be one of the toughest Opens ever! The course is set in mature parkland, surrounded by vineyards, with well manicured fairways with the superb greens guarded by some huge bunkers and water features; a course to think your way around.
There is no accommodation on-site but being close to both Stellenbosch and Somerset West, there is a wide variety to suit all budgets, or you could just base yourself in Cape Town and drive to the course – the choice is yours.
