Golf de Cannes Mougins
The Golf de Cannes Mougins, founded in 1923, is one of the most famous golf courses in France. Situated in the heart of the French Riviera, a few minutes from Nice Airport, the course is a true gem on the French golf circuit.
This jewel of the Riviera is set in the middle of the enchanting Valmasque forest, close to the Mediterranean and offers an exclusive round of 18 holes. The course is famous for the quality of its course maintenance with impeccable fairways and fast greens which are worthy of Europe’s best courses.
Originally designed by Harry Colt, the course designer of some world class courses, such as Wentworth and Royal Portrush, Golf de Cannes Mougins was revamped and reshaped by Peter Aliis and Dave Thomas in the 1970s.
This Par 72 layout, spanning just 6200 metres, is consistently ranked amongst the top 10 golf courses in France and brings plenty of challenge to every golfer that contests its fairways. The course is relatively flat and features a number of water hazards along the way, including a river which cuts across the 18. If that is not enough, the greens are well protected and are renowned for their speed and difficulty. Demanding shots and a consistent swing will prevail on this challenging championship layout.
The Golf de Cannes Mougins is an exclusive course boasting a fantastic parkland layout, a must play on your next South of France golf holiday
