Top Golf Courses in South Africa
South Africa is now home to almost 500 golf courses. Among this array of grounds, there are certain favourites shown in our client feedback:
Fancourt Links:
Fancourt Links is ideally located just 5 miles from George Airport, in the heart of the Garden Route. Over 1,500 acres of lush countryside surround the resort, which is framed by the magnificent Outeniqua Mountains. The Links Course is without a doubt the most impressive piece of golf design and construction ever in South Africa and repeatedly ranks 1st in the country. The design team spent months studying the classic links courses of Scotland and Ireland and used this research to create this masterpiece, and it’s known as a ‘Millionaire’s Golf’ experience, whereby each hole is not visible from the other, making you feel like you have the whole course to yourself.
Leopard Creek Country Club
Leopard Creek is a private members’ course that consistently rates among the Top 5 courses in South Africa. Golfing hazards take on a new dimension at Leopard Creek, and much of the water is home to the magnificent creatures for which the Crocodile River is named. Extensive use has been made of water features and sightings of crocodiles, hippos, antelope, buffalo, and elephants are likely, either on the course or in the Kruger Park that borders it.
Pearl Valley:
Pearl Valley is a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course nestled in the beautiful Berg River Valley, surrounded by the majestic Simonsberg Mountains as part of the Pearl Valley Golf & Country Estate. The course opened in 2005 and has been named the Best Conditioned Course in South Africa on three occasions, showcasing the level of care taken to provide the ultimate golfing experience.
