Gullane No. 3 course was also designed by Willie Park Jr. and was laid out in 1910.
Since then, the course has matured to become a well-loved and respected course. The course has the benefit, like the other two courses at Gullane Golf Club, of having the excellent links turf and climate that makes golf a pleasure here all year round.
The course boasts some of the best views across Aberlady Bay to Edinburgh and the Firth of Forth which just adds to the atmosphere of this course. Although it is considered to be the easiest and shortest of the three, it is a course that requires accuracy and your full attention if you hope to score well. The course features everything that its sibling courses do including the challenge of strategic course management, fast and true greens and many bunkers that must be avoided. In order to score well on this course, you must focus on making accurate shots rather than long and powerful one which makes this an interesting and stern challenge if that isn’t what you are used to! If you are looking for a wonderfully scenic challenge of golf that will suit golfers of all abilities, then look no further than this very special course at Gullane Golf Club.

Course Info
Choosing any of the courses to play and enjoy at Gullane Golf Club would never be a bad decision. The club boasts all of the facilities and amenities as well as the levels of service that you would want in order to have a great golfing experience. Before you begin your round, take advantage of the club’s driving range to have a few warm-up shots and after your round, enjoy a bite to eat and a few drinks in the clubhouse.
Both the first and last three holes are played on the flat ground around the visitor’s clubhouse and all of the holes in between are laid out over and around Gullane Hill. From the 5th tee you can enjoy the breathtaking views from the top of Gullane Hill where you can see the other Gullane Golf Club courses, the southern shores of the Firth of Forth and even other courses in the area such as Craigielaw.
The 15th is an impressive and fun par-3 hole which has yielded the most Hole in One’s at Gullane Golf Club. Watch out for the three closing holes as they are very challenging and can damage your scorecard late on in the round.
With eccentric holes that boast plenty of charm, this is a gem of a golf course and should not be overlooked.
