Where is the Kenmare Golf Club?
Kenmare Golf Club is located on the shores of Kenmare Bay which means the course has fantastic views out across the water. The wildlife is certainly something to behold in this rural part of South West Ireland. Kenmare Bay is home to schools of dolphins and you may well sport seals basking in the sun in the shallow waters.
The club was founded in 1903 and was originally a 9-hole layout, in 1993 the club undertook the development of a further 9 holes and is now a very pretty 18 holes that are well worth a visit. Unfortunately, the club suffered a tragic fire in 2020 which left their clubhouse ruined. Fortunately, the club was able to secure funding to rebuild and now has brand new facilities that offer excellent bar and catering services. This means you can enjoy a drop of the black stuff whilst enjoying views of the bay and surrounding hills.

Are the greens at Kenmare any good?
Back in 1993, with a lot of hard work, the 9-hole course became the new and improved 18-hole course. After an unfortunate fire in 2020 came brand new facilities and catering/bar services. The greens have been invested in to create a very pretty parkland course. An array of golfers can enjoy this course, especially the surrounding views of the mountains.
