Killeen Castle Resort Golf Holidays

Killeen Castle Resort is located in Dunsany, County Meath, Ireland. The Resort is situated close to Dublin, so its a short 25 minute journey from both Dublin City Centre & Dublin Airport which is ideal for those looking for a mix of exquisite golf, lively nightlife & excellent transport options. The Resort is steeped in history and is situated on a site believed to have been occupied by Killeen Castle since around 1180. The current structure was formed in 1989 when it was redeveloped after a fire in 1981 which left the castle burnt down.

The Resort was opened in 2009 with the construction of 179 luxury hotel rooms to compliment the Jack Nicklaus designed golf course built in 2008. The Resort has played a large part in golfing history as it was the first venue in Ireland to host the Solheim Cup back in 2011, along with the Ladies Irish Open & Ladies European Tour in 2010.
