Olgiata Golf Club is located 45 minutes from central Rome, the area is well known to be the home of some of Italy’s most rich and famous, including a number for footballers and singers who own some of the large properties on the drive up to the golf club.
There are 27 holes here, 18 of which have hosted the Italian Open Championship as recently 2019. This course is a beast of the tips measuring 7565 yards but do not be alarmed there are tees to suit all abilities. The course itself is tree lined with water features on a number of holes and can be likened to those well known courses in the Algarve such as Dom Pedro Old
The greens are in excellent shape all year round and role true and fast so be sure of your line to make sure those putts drop when you need them too. Like most Italian Golf Club the Club house is impressive and large with a billiard room, swimming pool and larger terraces with views of the 1st and 18th.
This is definitely a course worth visiting it is well maintained and very welcoming. Why not play all 27 holes with a long Italian lunch in between the rounds.
