Royal Durban Golf Club

Located in the heart of Durban, surrounded by the all-weather race course you will find the Royal Durban Golf Club, founded in 1892 and with many old world charms that befits a ‘royal’club.
The parkland course (Par 72 – 6,194 yards) may be considered to be a little short by modern standards but the lush fairways and challenging wind conditions make it play a good deal further. In addition to exceptional golfing, Steenberg also offers visitors a range of other signature experiences. Sample some of Steenberg’s award-winning wines at the estate winery, or experience fine dining in exquisite surrounds at Catharina’s Restaurant. Other attractions include a luxury spa, and an exclusive Club House. Both buggies and caddies are available but are not mandatory.
And strangely despite being surrounded by the largest port city in South Africa, a sense of calm and peace prevails. The clubhouse is most definitely ‘old colonial in its feel.
