When you pull up to Portrush Golf Club and first see the fantastic Dunluce Links course you will straight away know that you are in for a treat with your round here. The course is always in immaculate condition and every hole is a pleasure to play, even when there are many natural hazards and some stern rough to navigate your way through.
Although all of the holes here are a pleasure to play, the most exciting holes are the ones situated down next to the shore. The 5th is one of those standout holes and boasts an elevated tee from which you can enjoy stunning panoramic views across the course and its surroundings. The 5th hole is a short and downhill par 4 which features a left to right dogleg which you must carefully navigate before reaching the green which is situated right on the edge of the course with a at least a 50 feet drop down to the seashore. Another spectacular hole among this brilliant set of 18 holes is the 14th which is a par 3 and involves a nervous tee shot as you must avoid the deep chasm which is just to the right of the tee.
Make sure that this course is on your itinerary when you are next on a golf break to Northern Ireland as this truly is a special and impressive course that cannot be missed out on…
