Why a Golf Holiday to the UAE is a Must for any Golfer

Golf holidays in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) offer a unique blend of luxury, world-class golf courses, and stunning landscapes, making it a premier destination for golf enthusiasts around the globe. With its favourable climate, state-of-the-art facilities, and breathtaking surroundings, the UAE has become a haven for golfers seeking unforgettable experiences on the greens.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi stand out as the primary hubs for golf tourism in the UAE, boasting an impressive array of championship courses designed by some of the most renowned architects in the world. From rolling desert dunes to lush green fairways framed by skyscrapers, each course offers a distinct playing experience coupled with unparalleled hospitality.

One of the most iconic golf destinations in the UAE is the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, home to the prestigious Dubai Desert Classic. This immaculately manicured course provides players with a challenging yet enjoyable round amidst stunning views of the city skyline.

Additionally, the Faldo Course at the Emirates Golf Club, designed by golf legend Nick Faldo, offers a unique test of skill with its undulating terrain and strategic bunkering.

Golf in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, the UAE’s capital, is no stranger to world-class golfing facilities. Some of our favourite courses in Abu Dhabi include the Abu Dhabi Golf Club, home to the stunning falcon clubhouse, the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club and the mighty Yas Links, and a combination of all 3 together makes for a superb golfing experience. The Abu Dhabi Golf Club stands as a testament to the Emirate’s commitment to providing golfers with unforgettable experiences.

The championship course, designed by renowned architect Peter Harradine, features lush fairways, strategically placed water hazards, and sweeping views of the Arabian Gulf.

Moreover, the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, held annually at the club, attracts top-tier players from around the world.

Golf in Dubai

Dubai has a larger selection, but if we had to narrow it down then we would recommend Dubai Hills, Jumeirah Estates (Earth Course), the Majlis Course at Emirates GC and finally Els Club to experience what this amazing areaare has to offer.

Ras Al Khaimah Golf Destination

Beyond Dubai and Abu Dhabi, other emirates like Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman have also emerged as golfing destinations, offering picturesque courses that blend seamlessly with the natural landscapes of the region.

For instance, the Al Hamra Golf Club in Ras Al Khaimah boasts stunning views of the Hajar Mountains and the Arabian Gulf, providing golfers with a tranquil and scenic setting for their rounds.

Located less than an hour’s drive from Dubai International Airport, Ras Khaimah is an excellent place to play spectacular golf in the UAE without the premium price tag of Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

Ras Al Khaimah golf holidays provide the warm weather, luxurious resorts and high calibre of golf you would expect from the main two United Arab Emirates, but a fraction of the price.

The city itself is majestic, with the pearly white Sheikh Zayed Mosque overlooking the promenade, filled with fabulous restaurants ready to make your acquaintance.

With over 7000 years of history, Ras Al Khaimah is one of the most authentic destinations in the Middle East.
