Our Community Work
Mind Golf Day
2023 Mind Golf day is to be hosted at Mid Sussex Golf Club this year and we are hoping to top last year’s amazing total donation of £4010.
This year the day will be supporting two local charities. West Sussex MIND, which supports people with their mental health, provide specialist training and campaign to improve services and promote understanding, and Dad la Soul, which are a grassroots movement that uses art/tech/music and play to battle social isolation and loneliness for dads.
The day will consist of 9 holes texas scramble in the morning, 18 holes in the afternoon, a raffle, auction, and many other activities throughout the day. All food is included.
If you would like to get involved in the day, please contact Stuart Ridley at firstname.lastname@example.org or 07774320508. Hope to see you there!
Variety Golf Charity
Here at Golf Escapes, we believe in giving back to the community. That’s why we’re so proud to work with Variety Golf and support the amazing work they do for disabled children.
Variety Golf provides schools with coaches so disabled children can truly be part of the community. A simple trip to a swimming pool, a park, or the beach would not be possible without the work of Variety Golf.
Being in the golf sector the charity organizes bi-weekly events to raise money to buy the coaches and adapt them to the needs of the school where they are going. Our support so far has raised money to purchase an entire coach. We hope our support will continue to raise even more money for many coaches to come.
A couple of weeks ago was celebrated the 9th Variety Golf – Rugby Legends Invitational @ Loch Lomond GC, and expectations were exceeded by raising £300,000! Our donated price of a golf holiday at Monte Rei Golf & Country Club didn’t go that bad!
