Seignosse Golf Club
The Seignosse Golf Club is recognised by the world’s best as a course filled with winding fairways, pristine greens and excellent playing conditions. This charismatic course creates an unforgettable golfing experience from start to finish, and is certainly a must-play on your next golf escape to Southern France.
On the outskirts of the Basque region and only a few kilometres away from the Bay of Biscay, here on the Seignosse Golf course players will find an invigorating challenge in a beautiful setting. The course won’t take any prisoners as the winding fairways are lined with cork and oak trees to make it a more difficult approach to the green. Don’t forget the golf course planner as you will find well placed hazards that are ready to pounce to ruin your score. This undulating course offers great views of a picturesque countryside and demands great respect.
This 18-hole golf course was designed to offer varied play to its visitors, with the front nine and back nine constructed in a clockwise loop, all conveniently starting and ending with the newly refurbished clubhouse. The Seignosse course features a hilly terrain, with several water features that are more often than not hidden to try and hinder your play. With water hazards playing a part on the 2nd, 3rd, 11th, 14th and 17th holes, it is encouraged that players remain alert!
Buggy Hire, Driving Range, Pro Shop, Putting Green, Restaurant, Short game practice area, Trolley Hire
A notable hole on this course includes the 404 yard long par-4 3rd hole, which features a dogleg slightly positioned to the right on a L-shaped green. On this hole players may feel as if they are being thrown into the deep end very early, yet if they succeed they will find their score significantly better off! The 401 yard long 17th hole is the only hole on this course without a bunker, but this does not mean that this is an easy hole by any means. With a left dog leg onto a lengthy yet narrow fairway, this hole also features overhanging trees on the right side of the fairway and a water hazard to the left to intensify the challenge.
Players that often find their shots going wayward will certainly find their game severely punished on this course due to the narrow nature of the greens, and the tricky doglegs dotted all over the course. Doglegs are intensified on this course with numerous bunkers, water hazards, and over hanging trees threatening to swallow up your ball. A challenging course in a stunning setting, the Seignosse Golf Club is a must visit on your Biarritz golf itinerary.
