Strandhill Golf Course is a picturesque 18 Hole links course in the town of Strandhill, County Sligo in Ireland. The course is located only 50 minutes from Ireland West Airport Knock, making County Sligo easily accessible for those travelling from Airports around the world.

Strandhill Golf Club was originally formed in 1931 as a 9-hole course for over forty years until it was extended in 1973 and transformed into the 18 hole course we are familiar with today.

The golf course is a Par 70, with 6,200 yards to navigate, and is well known for it undulating fairways & unforgiving shortcuts which really test the golfers confidence with plenty of risk vs reward tee shots on offer with disastrous consequences awaiting if the perfect shot isn’t hit. The course features large bunkers & sloping greens which makes this an even trickier task to tackle when the wind is gusting from the beach which is adjacent to the course.

The course has some phenomenal views during the 18 holes with the Knocknarea Mountain towering into up into the sky, and on beautiful clear sunny day it can be seen perfectly on the first few holes that run parallel to the Culleenamore Strand and Strandhill Beaches.
