The Lodge at Craigielaw

The Lodge at Craigielaw is situated just 25 minutes’ drive from the vibrant city of Edinburgh and Edinburgh airport. The Lodge boasts a fantastic position perched overlooking the Firth of Forth, Aberlady Bay, Gullane and beyond to the Bass Rock.

Whilst staying here, you are just 9 minutes’ walk from the beach and within easy reach of several brilliant golf courses in the surrounding area. Nearby to The Lodge, there are many different golf courses including the Kilspindie and Longniddry golf courses. Slightly further afield are the Gullane, North Berwick, Archerfield, Muirfield and Dunbar golf courses. If you are looking to explore the local area you can venture into Edinburgh or Aberlady for a more local feel. Aberlady is a historical village located on the East Lothian coast and has a beautiful, long high street lined with old stone buildings as well as an excellent pub, a village shop and the village is visited by some mobile shops (fish, fruit and vegetables) weekly. The hotel is situated within 5,000 acres of land to explore with beautiful beaches, woodlands and activities to take part in in the area.

The aim of all the staff at The Lodge at Craigielaw is to provide a relaxed, fun and welcoming environment where all guests are welcome to stay and enjoy the local surroundings, brilliant food as well as the excellent golf course.

Each of the 25 rooms within The Lodge were opened in 2014 and were deigned to offer spacious, comfortable and convenient accommodation right next to the brilliant Craigielaw golf course. The rooms are positioned next to the clubhouse for ease if you are looking for a great place to stay, play and dine. The rooms all offer beautiful views of either the courtyard or the sea. They are all fitted with the facilities you would expect from a hotel of this standard including tea and coffee making facilities.

The Lodge’s restaurant is situated next to the rooms and in the morning, you can enjoy a generous buffet breakfast and for lunch and dinner you can enjoy the a la carte menu or just some light snacks. All of the delicious food is created with East Lothian’s finest produce and there is an extensive wine list for you to enjoy.
