This fantastic golf course was opened in 1989, designed by Dave Thomas. Players on this course will enjoy a fantastically varied round of golf due to the distinctive characteristics of the front and back nine holes. The first nine holes are admittedly shorter than the back, but that does not mean that players are excused from bringing their ‘A-game’ as they are all technically challenging. Typical of a Dave Thomas design, these holes demand excellent course management. On the other hand, the back nine offers even more spectacular views of the neighbouring Montseny Nature Park as well as more lengthy greens with elevation changes.

The Golf Montanya offers players the perfect blend of a stunning naturistic landscape and an unforgettable round of golf. The landscape is truly set in the heart of nature with a dramatic mountainous backdrop of the Pyrenees. The architects of this golf course have perfectly blended the landscape’s natural features into the fantastic golf course that stands today. Players will find challenges come in the form of dense woodland areas and creaks as well as some spacious water hazards. The L’Estanyol stream runs through the golf course as well as an impressive ten lakes to create a truly invigorating round of golf.
Measuring at over 6,000 metres long, the Golf Montanya has plenty of room for some truly spectacular holes. One of the most memorable holes in the front nine includes the par 4 7th hole as it is widely considered to be one of the most challenging holes on the golf course. This hole demands a highly accurate first shot in over to steer around the dense woodland area on the left and spacious bunker on the right.
The signature hole on this golf course is par 4 10th due to its distinctive drive across a 160-metre lake. Long drivers will love this hole and once they overcome the lengthy shot across the lake, the hole is fairly straightforward from there.
