The course, which opened in its fairways in 1972, was designed by the English architect John Dering Harris and Venetian Marco Croze, providing you with a championship standard course with a combination of a traditional English feel mixed with Italian flair. Home to over 7,000 trees including centuries-old oaks and beech trees, at the Golf Club Udine, players will truly feel immersed in a stunning natural setting. Whilst these trees do provide majestic views throughout, it is always advised to bring some spare balls here as they can’t always be easily retrieved if a shot goes wayward! The Golf Club Udine is a pristine course, featuring old oak trees, and offers a challenging round in a beautiful setting with great views of the Italian countryside.

This highly acclaimed course, which covers over 58 hectares, has recently held the European Senior Tour; a true testament of its excellent quality and the invigorating challenge that it bears. The course is characterised by its elevated greens, and tough doglegs, making it a true risk and reward design for the more adventurous player. Each and every hole at the Golf Club Udine demands the upmost concentration from its players throughout, and most of the greens are lined with spacious bunkers to hinder a steady score. Look out for the lengthy 15th, with numerous trees flanking the right and a green heavily protected by a sparkling lake.

The par-4 10th hole is a memorable one, boasting an unforgettable challenge with a variety of challenges throughout. Whilst the fairways at this hole are visibly wide and generous; do not be deceived by the hidden slope. For the first shot, players must overcome a dog leg to the left which avoiding a long row of tall, dense trees lining the right-hand side of the green. The hole is then concluded with a water hazard at the front of the fairway and a bunker on the left.

The Golf Club Udine offers varied play to its visitors with a choice of three alternate trails available: the green measuring 0.6 kilometres, the blue measuring 1.7 kilometres and the red measuring 4 kilometres. With this variety on offer, golfers can play a round perfectly tailored to their own preferences best suited to their skillset.
