Opened in 2003, the course became popular with the locals and tourist alike, however, having undergone an extensive renovation and reopening in 2015, the Crete Golf Club is set to become the next big golf course in Europe. Every inch of this mountainous golf course has been meticulously manicured and maintained to compliment the breath-taking Cretan landscape.
The Crete Golf Club comprises of a complete technical challenge with short holes and some lengthy power play holes. The layout winds its way through rocks and ravines, reflecting a desert style course, whilst offering some magnificent views of the coast and the nearby mountains.

A signature hole of this magnificent course includes the par three 198 yard long 6th hole which requires a careful club selection and consistent accuracy. Many consider this hole to be the best, partly due to its short yet testing nature. A three on this hole would widely be considered to be a birdie as it is undeniably an unforgettable challenge. Here the tee shot has to be carried across a deep gorge to then reach the final challenge of a two-tiered green landscaped into the base of the hillside. Despite being a difficult course, the Crete Golf Club offers five different sets of tees with generous fairways so that golfers of all skill sets can experience this fabulous course.
The Crete Golf Club features an excellent training facility, including a 300 metre 2 sided driving range, 3 putting greens, and a pitching bunker area. Facilities also include tuition from multiple dedicated golf professionals on site and video analysis equipment. Overlooking the magnificent views of the Crete Golf Club course, players are invited to visit the club house restaurant. Here golfers are offered European and traditional Greek cuisine to compliment a truly wonderful round of golf. Alternatively they can visit the Veranda Bar, the ideal location to follow the action on the 18th hole whilst enjoying a well-deserved beer.
