Course Info
The course itself, is a cracking modern links design, boasting sweeping vistas of the Ayrshire coast through the full 18. Consisting of wide fairways, contoured greens and rugged rough, the course was designed by golfers, for golfers.
The architect, Kyle Phillips, who also designed the world class Kingsbarns Golf Links, emphasised the beauty of the Ayrshire coast whilst bringing back classic links golf. The mandate here at Dundonald was to create a course which reflects the traditional character of seaside golf on the West coast of Scotland.
Dundonald Golf Links has been quickly recognised as one of the best new courses in the world since its opening in 2005, and will only get better as it matures.
