Kilspindie Golf Club

  • There is no doubt that Scotland is filled with some excellent golf courses and Kilspindie is one of those brilliant courses that will offer any golfer a great round of golf that is challenging but fair with great views and an interesting layout.
Kilspindie Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in the world and is not a very long course at just 5,480 yards from the medal tees. Although the course is not particularly long, it is a charming and traditional Scottish links course which boasts a number of short and tricky par 4s as well as some challenging blind shots and the wind is often in play due to its location which can make this a tricky round of golf for even the best golfers. Its length and layout mean that although it is a challenging round of golf, it is a fair one and those with higher handicaps won’t get too frustrated with their scorecards! This traditional links course boasts a superb location set on prime coastal land with superior sea views, a lot of quirkiness and so much charm making it a must-play course for your next golf break to Scotland regardless of your golfing ability!

Besides from its charm and great links layout, the club offers so much more with its lovely clubhouse in which you can enjoy a meal and a few drinks after your round. There is also the option of hiring buggies if you don’t want to walk the round here.
Right from the first tee, you will be blown away with the course and its views with a wide variety of different holes making this an interesting round for golfers of all abilities. The outward nine are excellent and run along the coastline before you get to the end and head back in with the final nine and you finish up with two interesting but very short holes which feature a stone wall which you may end up hitting if you have a bad shot!
The standout hole of the course is the 8th which is a par 3 or 162 yards and runs along the coastline of Gosford Bay. The hole curves to the right and the wind is often from offshore which means that you have to take a risk to carry your ball over the water.
Make sure that Kilspindie Golf Club is on your list for your next golf holiday as a round here could not disappoint any keen golfer.
