Panmure Golf Club

  • Panmure Golf club is one of the oldest golf clubs in the world, where games of golf have been won and lost since 1845.

Panmure was designed by the famous Tom Morris and revamped by James Braid, giving the layout a links stamp of approval which requires both strategy and ability to get through your round. The course was one of the original 24 clubs that helped purchase the Amateur Championship trophy first played in 1885.

Located slightly inland when compared to the nearby Carnoustie and Monifieth, Panmure has all the ingredients for a classic championship links. This Par 70, which stretches just over 6500 yards, opens out to a pine forest, with hillocks and heather providing obstacles throughout the 18.

The design perfectly combines the very best of heathland and links and features tight fairways, contoured greens and sandhills. The beauty of the course can be characterised by the touches of heather which add a texture to the 18 hole surroundings. The undulating terrain provides views which are a beauty to behold, whilst making Panmure ever more challenging.

As you would expect, Panmure being a historic Scottish course, it has hosted numerous championships over the years as well as being the host of the Open Championship qualifying on several occasions.

Panmure Golf Club is regularly voted in the top 40 courses in Scotland, offers a traditional Links layout and a warm Scottish welcome, a must play when staying near Dundee and Carnoustie.
