Trump Turnberry - Robert The Bruce
The King Robert the Bruce course located at Trump Turnberry is the second offering at this magnificent golf resort, and promises an incredible golfing experience to rival the top courses in Ayrshire.
Trump Turnberry is a golf resort that is steeped in history, whereby this special golf course was named after its historic leader who fought for Scottish independence. The iconic lighthouse, seen from the fairways of this thrilling course, is positioned on the ruins of the medieval Turnberry Castle, where Robert the Bruce was born in the 13th century.
The architect for the world famous Ailsa course, Martin Ebert, was commissioned again to create another world class golf experience and a second course at Turnberry to delight golfers worldwide. Hence the King Robert the Bruce was formed.
Consisting of undulating fairways, strategically place pot bunkers as well as the consistent prevailing winds, the course is by no means easy. However the elevations and peaks from the landscape, create a great platform to enjoy the natural surroundings of the Ayrshire coastline. Stunning vistas can be prominently seen on the 8th – 11th holes with panoramic views of the Turnberry coastline, castle ruins and the lighthouse.
Whilst the Ailsa course is the star and main event at Trump Turnberry, the King Robert the Bruce offers a cracking golf experience to rival any of the championship courses of Ayrshire.
The King Robert the Bruce is home to another 18 superb holes of golf at Trump Turnberry, which reinforces this spectacular golf resorts reputation as a true golfers oasis.
