The course rises 1500 feet up into the mountains and there are two bits of advice when you play here – take a buggy, and take layers of clothing as the temperature can vary 10 degrees at different parts of the course. The course is mostly forgiving and can be enjoyed by all golfers (just enjoy the views and the experience if you’re not playing well!). Wonderfully maintained and under half an hour from Funchal, you could spend a week playing here and still not get bored. A must play when you’re planning your Madeira golf holiday.
