The course is the oldest on the Spanish mainland having opened in 1925, but was improved for the 2002 Turespaa Masters on the European Tour. Very convenient for Malaga Airport, just a mile away - aircraft sometimes fly quite low overhead, but this is still a most enjoyable course.
