As the name suggests this course was designed by Sir Nick Faldo. From the back tees The Faldo Course measures over 7,000 yards and offers a real test of golf, do not worry though there are tees to suit all abilities so everybody can enjoy this masterpiece. This is a brilliant course design, it uses the undulating landscape and the the shores of the lough to create an unforgettable experience.
It is hard to chose just one signature hole here but a special mention must be given to the 10th hole which is a risk reward drivable par 4, even from the back tee it is only 317 yards. It offers a view down to the green which is surrounded on three sides by the lough with the flag fluttering invitingly just within reach. It would take a brave golfer to have a go at the green though, particularly if you are protecting a good front 9 score.
As you would expect from a course that features in the top 100 in UK and Ireland the all round condition is immaculate. The greens are fast and true and the fairways and bunker have excellent drainage making them playable all year round.
